Fabric: An RJR Fabric from the collection "Everything But The Kitchen Sink"
Pattern: The Yard-Sale Wrap Skirt, From the book Weekend Sewing by Heather Ross
I am in love with this fabric. The collection this material stems from seems to be made up of 1930's reproductions. It has created a new love in me for vintage reproduction fabrics.
I just found this pic of what is, I guess, a piece of an RJR reproduction fabric - Amazing right?!?
And this Flickr group, of 30's and 40's vintage reproduction fabric related pics, shows a little more of the goodness I'm talking about.
Just what this mama needs...more fabric to love!
Oh, I like that fabric too! You are making me want to try the sewing machine again. Maybe this time it won't make me cry! xx
ReplyDeleteOhhh very pretty ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the shape of it - so romantic ;)
I wish we could be neighbours so you'd teach me to sew in more than straight lines ;)
xo
Janie- this is BEAUTIFUL! I love the vintage fabric too! Okay, so can I say? You look amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks very much! Oh Sara, you're too kind ;) My mom took the pic, and I was sure to tell her "only get the skirt in!".
ReplyDeleteThat fabric is gorgeous. Great skirt... you are a sewing machine! haha. Had to say it. But I really do love this skirt in this fabric. Good combo. :)
